Bianor Sp. z.o.o. will gas assist molding and two-shot molding at its plant in Romania to keep up with customer demands.
Dutch-Polish industrial precision component molder Bianor Sp. z.o.o. is already expanding the production plant it opened in Ploiesti, Romania in May last year.
Bialystock, Poland-based Bianor intends to add four more injection molding machines this year at its 4,700-square-meter Romanian facility to allow the firm to handle mounting orders from customers in the automotive and domestic appliance sectors.
To cope with increasing demand from the German market, Bianor is enhancing the plant’s technology, enabling it to focus on gas pressure injection molding. The operation will also expand its use of the two-component molding technique which is employed producing, for example handles for power tools and household appliances.
The Ploiesti plant went into operation with 10 powerful injection molding machines and a core workforce of 35. Bianor moved into Romania in particular to serve manufacturers in the southeast of Europe.
The experienced injection and blow molder intends to strengthen its market position in the auto sector through ISO certification for its Romanian site. The firm reported it is currently in the implementation process for ISO/TS 16949.
Bianor means to capitalize on Romania’s growing importance as a key exporter to the automotive and consumer products markets in Europe.
The molder, whose client portfolio includes international market leaders such as home appliance manufacturer Bosch-Siemens, power tools maker Makita, water filter supplier Brita and packaging producer Mead Westvaco, launched a new plant in Poland in 2012.
Bianor was established in 1997 and apart from contract plastics molding, the processor also assembles a variety of plastic and non-plastic parts into components and finished goods. |
